Hi,
I've been in the helpdesk a lot in the last little while and I have a major suggestion to make. I see a lot of people getting upset over "Banned" cards. I think that if you at TC changed the wording to "Disabled" cards not as many people would be upset. See, if you classify something as banned, you lead someone to believe that their card will be FOREVER not playable and they often don't understand why this card is banned especially if there are more "powerful" cards out there than the banned one.

It needs to be made clear that these cards are disabled because they do not function properly. If you classify these cards as disabled, it will be much easier for kids to understand the difference.

I know this may seem like not a big thing but I really think that it is. Especially to new players who do not understand why they can't play with all of their cards. This game is targeted to a younger audience, and should be explained at times as if talking to a younger audience. The wording used is very important.

Thanks for reading,
Hikeda.

So you're saying it should be worded, "Disabled at (Drome)" instead of "Banned?" I always thought they've used "Disabled" anyway..At least, that's what Blargers says in all his posts....And I think if a Card is actually "Banned," they'll write in Capital Letters "Banned List", whereas now they just have "Disabled."

basically yah, I should not say banned list, but disabled. And it should be reiterated that they are only disabled.

Chaotic wants to try and not make a banned list - which I hope is the case. As soon as they start banning cards I will stop buying. Banning cards is never something fun to look at. Especially when you don't know that they're banned until you go to a tourny and they tell you your cards are banned.

Yep, that's why I quit Yu-Gi-Oh....The Game Designers are doing a great Job as is though, only Vial/Supercooled/Neekwin is the Combo I dislike...I'm not saying it should be Banned, but I'm saying that I've heard other people not liking that Combo....It's even turned into a Metagame >.>.

Anyway, before, I get more Off-Topic, though I do agree "Disabled" should be used instead of "Banned," I've never really heard of a card being "Banned" at a Drome...Then again, I haven't played in a long time.

It's my feeling that the wording is irrelevant, "Banned" or "Disabled" they're both just telling me that the money I spent on my cards is a waste because I can't use a bunch of the cards that I bought TO USE ONLINE. I understand that the cards aren't working right, but it would be nice to know the approximate amount of time the disabled cards will be working correctly, like a estimate of how long a job is going to take, almost every other business has client imposed deadlines, why not have them here too.

If "banned" causes so much anxiety then maybe they should have an "ineligible list" for the different droam formats, I still think that they should gives us an estimate of how long "disabled" cards will be disabled.
